Questions and answers

Short answers about how CuriousNext works. Can't find yours? Start with a goal and see for yourself.

Getting started

What is CuriousNext?

CuriousNext teaches beginner tech skills, such as AI tools, spreadsheets, coding and online safety, in short lessons built around you. You learn an idea, practise it, explain it in your own words and get feedback on what to do next.

Do I need any experience?

No. Every course starts from the basics. If you already know some of it, an optional two-minute check lets you skip ahead.

How long does a lesson take?

You choose: 10, 20 or 40 minutes. Lessons are sized to fit, and your work saves as you go, so you can stop and pick up later.

Can I learn something that is not in the course list?

Yes. Describe your goal in your own words and CuriousNext builds a personal path of short milestones for it. If a course already covers your goal, we suggest it first.

How learning works

What makes this different from watching videos?

You don't just watch. Each lesson asks you to try the idea, use it for your own goal and explain it back. Then you get specific feedback on what you did well and what to fix.

What if I don't understand a lesson?

Choose "Try it another way" under any idea to get it simpler, with more detail, with another example, as a picture or as a story. You can also ask your learning companion a question.

Is the same course the same for everyone?

The modules and what you are checked against are the same, so everyone learns the same skills. How each lesson is explained, and the examples it uses, change for you.

How do I know I have actually learned it?

A module only counts as practised when your own work meets the lesson's criteria. Opening a lesson or rating yourself never counts as learning.

Courses and payment

How much does it cost?

While courses are in preview and their content is being reviewed, you can start them for free. Prices will be shown on each course page before any course goes on sale.

Are the courses accredited or certified?

No. CuriousNext courses are practical learning, not formal qualifications or exam preparation.

Who checks the course content?

Course outlines are written for beginners and each course is reviewed before it goes on sale. Lessons are generated for you, so you will see a preview note until review is complete.

Your account and data

Do I need a password?

No. Enter your email and we send you a secure sign-in link. The same link creates your account or signs you in.

What happens to my work and answers?

Your work is saved to your account so you can come back to it. Don't type passwords, bank details or other private information into lessons.
